On June 20, 2014, the Department published a notice in the Federal Register (79 FR 35417) proposing to amend the Student Assistance General Provisions regulations issued under the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended (HEA), to implement the changes made to the Clery Act by the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA).
Comments on the proposed regulations may be submitted electronically through www.regulations.gov and must be received no later than July 21, 2014.
